KPRC2 / Click2Houston and American Furniture Warehouse are surprising 20 deserving high school seniors with scholarships in 2022. All students selected for scholarships have been nominated by their high schools.
The eighth $2,500 scholarship winner of the year is Emilee McCoy who will be graduating this spring from Kempner High School in Fort Bend Independent School District. 
Emilee has maintained strong grades while competing in varsity swim and varsity cross country. She also is involved in a number of student organizations, has a job at a fast food restaurant, volunteers at church, and participates in additional community service initiatives. Emilee has been accepted to Texas A&M University and plans to study mechanical engineering.
