Englewood, CO – American Furniture Warehouse was a proud sponsor of Ace Hardware’s 3rd annual Miracle on the Rocks Stair Climb Fundraiser for Children’s Hospital at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019.
Employees at AFW took on the stair climb challenge at 6,450 feet helping to raise more than $35,000.
“We thought this was a great way to make a difference in a child’s life and to give back to our community,” said Josh Sylvia, facility manager at AFW’s Thornton store. “AFW has been giving back to the community for more than 40 years and as an employee, we are able to take part in some amazing opportunities thanks to our sponsorships.”
Children’s Hospital Colorado is the premiere hospital for children offering pediatric expertise and world-class care and specialized treatment. The hospital treats more than 1,400 infants each year and has an 85% cure rate for kids’ cancer and blood disorders. In addition, more than 400 successful heart transplants have been completed.
Proceeds from Miracle on the Rocks will go to the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation that will help support family-centered services, groundbreaking research and regional clinics and care.
